Malaysians need no introduction to the legendary Pasar Lokein (Lokein Market) which is strategically located at Memory Lane in the old school town of Ipoh, Perak. It is the most famous pasar karat (flea market) in the country and often dubbed the best of its kind among antique collectors, traders, and dealers. Named after Lam Look King Bazaar where it all began in the 1980s, today Pasar Lokein has stretched over 2 km, with vendors selling not only used goods, vintage items, memorabilias, records, antiques and collectibles, but anything of everything under the sun, really! No wonder it became a nation’s favourite and an attraction to bargain hunters from all over the world.
